I’ve been practicing yoga since 2001 when I attended my first class in the fitness center at my workplace.  After attending that class, I immediately knew yoga was something I wanted to pursue further.  Learning how to truly go inside yourself and concentrate on your breath, body and what you feel, is what I really enjoy about yoga.  So many things cause stress and distraction in our lives and we really need to make time to remember ourselves, and yoga is a great way!  I especially love that yoga is a non-competitive activity and everyone works at their own level to explore their own possibilities.  The friendships I’ve made along the way are very special also.

After taking classes for a couple of years, I decided I'd like to expand my knowledge of yoga, and share it with others. I received my Level 1 certification from YogaFit at the end of 2003, and my 200 hour certification in 2005.  I currently teach the Slow Flow class on Wednesday night at 6:00.

I love….  spending time with my family and friends, visiting my second home in Jamaica, going to the lake in the Summer, and dogs with their heads hanging out car windows!
